Rodney L. TerBeest

Rodney L. TerBeest, age 60 of Madison Lake passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2008, at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato.A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-6 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2008, at his residence (933 Point Pleasant) in Madison Lake.Rodney was born on June 21, 1948, in Wycoff, MN to Russell and Helen (Plumber) TerBeest. He graduated from Harmony high school in 1966 and from Minnesota State University in Mankato. He married Shirley Brakke and later married Donna Brinker. In his earlier years he was employed at KEYC in Mankato and since the 1980’s was owner of Rod TerBeest Productions.Rodney was a member of the Lake City Yacht Club, the president of Holder 20 One Design sailing class, and the Mankato Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed wood working, movies and especially sailing.Grateful for having shared his life are his children: Elizabeth (Christopher) Luehder of Bozeman, MT and Benjamin (Tammi) TerBeest of Pemberton; step-children: Melissa Seitzer of Mankato and Nathaniel Seitzer of Minneapolis; grandchildren: Olivia and Rowen Luehder, and Vanessa and Zander TerBeest; siblings: Charlene Kudla TerBeest, David TerBeest, Theodore TerBeest, Mariella Schladweiler and Jennifer TerBeest; mother-in-law Mary Lue Brinker and many other relatives.He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Donna and father-in-law Charles Brinker.
