Claudia Clever Obituary
BELLVILLE: Claudia B. Clever, 101, of Bellville passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 in Country Meadow Care Center.
The son of Benjamin and Ada (Seitz) Hiser, Claudia was born August 23, 1913 in Bucyrus. On January 27, 1930 she married Norman Clever who after 72 years of marriage passed away November 5, 1993.
Claudia worked as a nurse's aid for both Hillcrest and Country Meadow Nursing Homes.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, painting and crafts. In her younger years, Claudia grew large vegetable gardens and always maintained and cared for her flower gardens. Claudia truly embraced life as a mother and loved being around her large family. Generous, she simply couldn't say no to family and friends in need.
She was a member of Perry Church of Christ where she was baptized as a young lady as well as a member of Johnsville Grace United Methodist Church.
Claudia is survived by her children David (Beverly) Clever of Lexington, Dale Clever of Galion, John (Kim) Clever of Johnsville, Juanita Voltz of Lexington, and Beatrice Dorminy of Altoona, PA; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Along with her parents and husband, Claudia was preceded in death by her son Harold Clever, daughter, Catherine Stewart; three grandchildren; siblings, James Hiser, Hugh Hiser, Earl Hiser, Grace Mateer and Melissa Oyster; step brother Red Ruhl.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 4-7 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11am. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Country Meadow Care Center may be made through the funeral home.
