Virginia Nunan Obituary

Virginia F. Nunan of Ocean City, N.J. Virginia F. "Dolly" Nunan, of Ocean City, N.J. passed away on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012. Born in West Chester, she had lived in Allentown and had summered in Ocean City, N.J. for many years, moving here permanently in 1981. Dolly was the owner of Top of the Waves for 30 years before her retirement in 1998. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Desmond J. Nunan, Sr. Surviving are her children, Desmond J. Nunan, Jr. of Somers Point, N.J., Christopher John Nunan and his wife Cindy of Ocean City, N.J., Peter D. Nunan and his wife Lisa of California, Aidan Francis Nunan of Somers Point, N.J., Julie Maloney of Beesley's Point, N.J., seven grandchildren, Lyndsay Elizabeth Severs and her husband Chad, Maura Shannon Maloney, Michael Desmond Nunan, Nicole Suchi Nunan. Amanda Nunan, Daniel Nunan, Matthew Nunan, one great-grandchild, Landon Severs, and a brother, Dominic Falini and his wife Peg of Unionville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning, Dec. 5, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church of St. Damien Parish, 40th Street at Asbury Avenue, Ocean City, N.J., where friends may call from nine o'clock until the time of Mass. Burial will follow in Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House, N.J.. The family suggests those who desire send memorial contributions to the charity of one's choice. Our sympathy to all the Nunan family. We have many fun, fond memories of Aunt Dolly. Her energy and love for life was an inspiration. May the Angels be at her side as she re-unites with her siblings and parents.

I am so sorry to hear of Dolly's passing. She was a wonderful lady and a smart business women who taught me how to survive in the business world..she took me under her wing and gave me friendship. Dolly was wonderful to me and my family and I will never forget her kindness and giving nature.

Dear Nunan family, we are so sorry for your loss. Dolly was a lovely, unique, and, intelligent free spirit. We will never forget the warm, fun and funny woman with the jaunty beret who sat on the bleachers, ever supportive of the CCerpants and their families.
