I remember meeting Robert at an NKBA monthly meeting. We chatted at the time about the industry and my crazy business ideas. He was very interesting to talk to and I found him insightful and a willing listener. His advice was always sound, and he would share from his vast experiences.
I recall on one occasion, the first time I had gotten published. Robert took the time to approach me and congratulate me and wanted to chat about the project. That was the kind of thoughtful person he was. Such a great role model for us all.

I remember Robert teaching an AIKD 1 week seminar at Downington, PA, that ended up launching my design career. I remember him as very patient and knowledgeable as he shared his craft with me, a single mom with three kids to support just trying to get her feet under her and find a career path. The drawings created under his direction were part of my portfolio to get into Parsons School of Design. I am forever grateful for the dedication Robert had to the Kitchen and Bath Industry and how it gave me direction in my career and others like me.
