Mary S. Kalady
Mary S. (Slota) Kalady, 97, of Allentown, passed away Friday, March 06, 2009 in Whitehall Manor. She was the loving wife of the late Andrew Kalady. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Metro and Kathryn (Wilychka) Slota. Mary was a member of St. Marys Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Allentown. She was also a member of St. Marys Senior Group and Woodlawn Fire Company Senior Citizens. She will be sadly missed by her entire family. Survivors: Sons, Richard and wife, Maria, of Allentown, Donald and wife, Dagmar, of Allentown; grandchildren, Lisa Eisler and husband, Attorney Robert, of Wyncote and children Emily and Brendan, Mark Kalady and wife, Meg, of Schwenksville and children Molly, Maddy and Maeve, Michael Kalady and wife, Mary, of Exton and children Kaitlyn, Michael Jr. and Peter, Dr. Matthew Kalady and wife, Dr. Skyler, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio and children Matthew Jr., Nicholas, Luke and Sophia; sisters, Anna Bechtel of Allentown, Stella Smerek of Center Valley, and Mildred Wilburn of Henderson, Nev.; brothers, Walter Slota of Phoenix, Arizona, William Slota of Allentown and Gene M. Slota of Surprise, Arizona. She was predeceased by her sisters, Julie and Kathryn Slota, and a brother, John Slota. Services: A viewing will be held on Monday 7-9 p.m. with a Parastas at 8 p.m. in Kohut Funeral Home Inc., 950 N. Front St., Allentown, 18102. A viewing will be held Tuesday 9:15-10 a.m. with a funeral service at 10 a.m. all in St. Marys Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Fullerton and Catasauqua avenues, Allentown, 18102. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Online condolences may be made at: www.kohutfuneralhome.com Contributions: Donations may be made in Marys memory to the Church Icon Restoration Fund care of the funeral home.
