Born in Philadelphia, to the late Balthasar and Marie (Morth) Dippl. Rudy graduated from Parkland High School in Allentown, class of 1955. He participated in Pedal PA for three years running, riding from Erie, Pittsburgh and Albany, N.Y. to Philadelphia, covering up to 100 miles a day. Rudy was featured in several newspaper articles, most recently this summer when he and the Pedal Power Gang made front-page of the Doylestown Intelligencer. Between the three cycling clubs, he averaged 200 miles a week and already reached his annual personal goal of riding 7000 miles for this year. Sincere condolences to Bunny and family. I retain many good memories of Rudy from our multi-faceted days at Parkland High School where he was an excellent student and an outstanding sprinter on the track team. Although our times on campus did not coincide, we shared an undergraduate education at Ursinus College as well. Even in my Boston years I came back to Telford on occasion to utilize his dentistry skills. Rest in Peace.

I was so sorry to hear of Dr. Dippl's passing. I have been a patient of his for I'm guessing about 40 years - I started coming to him when I was a teenager. (I actually had an appt. w/ him next week.) My daughters were also his patients. They are now grown w/ kids of their own & Dr. Dippl would always ask how my girls & grandchildren were doing. He remembered that I had a Downs grandson & would ask about him. He always especially asked about my youngest child because he knew she was my "problem" child when she was growing up. He would ask about my mom because she was a patient of his & lived at Telford Home as his mom once did. He would tell me about his daughters & grandchildren & also about his love of cycling & where he was cycling to. I remember being in awe when he told me he cycled to his daughter in Dela. I would joke about how I didn't like coming to see him (for my exams) because my mouth would always be hurting when I left (because of his scraping my teeth) & not to take it personally.
I will truly miss Dr. Dippl both as a great & thorough dentist & as a wonderful person to know & talk to. My prayers & thoughts are w/ the whole family.
