Michael was my barber in the 70s during high school. I remember going in the lower level if the professional building to his shop. I remember him as a high humble person and had much respect and admired the barber talk of various subjects. I joined the U.S. Army and remember grabbing a beer at his tavern next door. God Bless Michael and rest in peace.

Homick Family,
The first time I met Mike was with John Fretz at the barber shop. John got his hair cut there and we took his son Christian for his 1st haircut from Mike. I also knew him from King Arthurs Court & the Little Big Horn. I went to school with the guys in the Kings Ransom Band. Great memories.
With deepest sympathy.

Barb.
Sympathy and Prayers to you and your family. I remember my Mom taking me to the lower level of the "Professional Building" for my haircuts and to sit in the big red chairs. It was a pleasure continuing to get my haircuts by Mike until I went bald. (no fault of Mikes)and to be able to frequent Mickey Kelly's (alot). Glad I was able to stop in to the shop before he retired. He was a great guy...

So sorry to read of Mike's passing. He always had a smile on his face - whether it was at his shop getting our boys hair cuts or running into you both when we were out walking around town. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

We were so sad to hear of Mike's passing. Believe us, we wanted to attend the viewing but the snow held us back. We wanted you to know that we have such fond memories of being at "King Arthur's Court", my sister and I were your coat check girls. We both remember waiting on the corner for you and Mike to pick us up and take us down. We were fortunate to be a part of your family down at the "Court" and it helped to change our lives and set us in the right direction. Thank-you, Our Deepest Synmpathy. Hello Barb, I was away, and did not read Sunday's paper. I just learned of Mike's passing. We are truly sorry we missed his service. I have fond memories of playing at King Arthurs Court with Big City Music Band in the summer of 1969 and 1970. Seems like just yesterday. I always liked playing there, and was saddened when if closed. Mike was a great guy, and continued to be my barber for about 40 years until he retired. Our hearts and prayers are with you at this time of sadness.

One of the greatest club owners and men I have ever met. Mike and Barb were great to me and my Father "Ragtime" Charlie Young. They took a chance and revamped their bar to try something different. Mickey Kelley's sing a long's with the Murphy Young Duo became the place to be in the 80's. Thank you Mike for your kindness and friendship. R.I.P. my friend.

My sincere condolences to the family. Keep memories of Mike and his spirit close to your heart and his lust for life will always be with you...... Setting haircuts aside, sitting in his barber chair was always entertaining. I always looked forward to hearing his stories genuinely reflecting his love of life. Growing up in Bethlehem and graduating from Moravian, Mike seemed to always have his fingers is the culture I was exposed to as a college kid of the late 60s and early 70s. Without his influence, surely things would have been different.....Mike, RIP - you will always be fondly remembered.

I am so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He was the best barber anyone could have, hands down! He treated all of us like family. I will never forget playing with all his toys and old banks at his old shop on Elizabeth Ave. I also loved the fish. I remember Barb stopping by on her work break to say hi and do some knitting. I was so proud when I brought my son to Mike for his first haircut in 2008, making him the 3rd generation Trumbore to get his haircut by Mike The Barber!
Wherever I go now to get my haircut, I always ask why they don't have a little shop vac to clean up the hair on my head! I also miss the straight blade shaves with the warm shaving cream. He always had that great steady hand that a barber would kill for..
Mike.....it was an honor to have know you as my barber and as a good family friend. You will be deeply missed. Rest in peace.
Our deepest condolences to Barb and the rest of the family.
