Bernard Shearn

Bernard G. "Bernie" Shearn, 65, of Alburtis, passed away Sept. 9, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Janet M. (Garvey) Shearn for the past 45 years. Born in Ashland, he was the son of the late Bernard H. and Helen (Johnson) Shearn. Bernie was a machine operator at Pabst/Stroh Brewery for 28 years until his retirement. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam Era. Bernie was a former volunteer and Lieutenant for the Alburtis Fire Co., a member of the Macungie Ambulance Corp, serving as a first responder and was a senior member of the Wheels of Time Street Rod Assoc. He was a 1970 graduate of Cardinal Brennan High School, Fountain Springs, PA. Survivors: Loving Wife; Son, Shawn Shearn and his wife Lisa; Daughter, Heather Lindenmuth and her husband Daniel; Sisters, Cynthia Muldoon, Patricia Orth, Rosalie Swisher and Pamela Stanitis; devoted Pap of Jared, Connor, Adam, Kyle, Ryan and Quinn. Services: Memorial 1:30 PM Saturday, Sept 16th at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm Street, Emmaus. A gathering will be held Saturday Noon to 1:30PM at the funeral home.
