Sandi was born in Bismarck, North Dakota on May 12, 1943, the youngest of 9 children. She moved to San Jose at the age of 18. She went to work for Lockheed, and stayed there for 15 years. She had two children, Stephen and Roy. She passed away peacefully at her home Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, surrounded by her family.
Sandi loved going on cruises and traveling the world, visiting six continents and over 30 countries. She loved all manner of card games particularly bridge and canasta. She was athletic as well, and enjoyed bowling and playing golf. She was a voracious reader and liked to garden. She especially liked family gatherings and visiting with friends.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Kenneth Redder, her son Roy Lynch, her granddaughters Leigh Lynch, Rebecca Lynch, and Laura Osborne, brother and sister-in-law Donald and Jean Sakshaug, sister and brother-in-law Gloria and Karl Nigg. She is preceded in death by her husband Ray Lynch and her son Stephen.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 2:00 PM at St. Stephen's in the Field, 7269 Santa Teresa Blvd., San Jose. Refreshments will follow after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
