Ann Eggertsen Obituary

Dr. Ann Eggertsen
April 2, 1945-September 6, 2016
Morro Bay
We mourn the passing of our beloved aunt, sister, friend and colleague, Ann Stevens Eggertsen, who died of pancreatic adenocarcinoma at the age of 71.
Ann was born to Victor and Katharine Stevens in Palo Alto, CA. She received her BS at Occidental College and then pursued her Masters of Architecture in Seattle, WA. Here, she met the love of her life, Paul F. Eggertsen, MD. The couple moved to Vienna, Austria, where Paul worked for the U. S. State Dept. and Ann served as U.S. State Dept. Regional Architect for Eastern Europe.
After returning to CA Ann earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology. She served as staff psychologist at Atascadero State Hospital and taught psychology at California Polytechnic State University. She received many awards for her work in both architecture and psychology and is published in numerous journals.
Extraordinarily gifted, her talents were many, her loyalty fierce, her love immense. She was your biggest fan, your loudest cheerleader, your strongest supporter. She was at the ready with a listening ear and a generous heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She will be missed by too many to mention.

Ann was an original owner of a condo in a project we built in 1992. She served as secretary, treasurer, and President of the Association. She was always pleasant, and professional on all matters. She was a good neighbor, and friend. We will miss her.

For over fifty years I have loved and admired Ann. She was a good person, but even a better friend. I miss her kind smile.
