Steven Lorenzini Obituary

Steven D. Lorenzini
12/22/1945 - 5/28/2014
Resident of Oroville
Steve Lorenzini, aka "Richard Cranium," died on May 28 in Winters, CA. He was born in Oakland, CA, son of Babe and Betty Lorenzini. Steve served our country in the Vietnam War on the USS Bon Homme Richard (CVA-31) and was honorably discharged in 1968. He was a proud member of the VA, VFW and Canyon Creek Vista Resort. He successfully completed training for the SFPD in 1974 and worked for the SF Sheriff's Dept as a deputy. He was a Jack-of-All-Trades and also worked as a mechanic, salesman and truck driver. In 1975 he married the love of his life, Janniett, and together they raised two children, David and Deborah Tisdale. Steve had many hobbies: racing cars, boating, camping with friends, riding his Harley and playing practical jokes. He had an amazing and sometimes twisted sense of humor that so many people will miss. Steve is survived by his wife Jan, children David and Deborah, grandchildren Paige, Tyler, Kirin, Jamisen and Dylan and the Lorenzini family, Denise, Nancy, Bob and Bill. Steve will be honored with a military burial on Monday, June 9, 2:00pm at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, followed by a Celebration of Life at Canyon Creek Resort, 22074 California 128, Winters, CA. Casual wear is encouraged. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Steve's name to Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org) or by mail to P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.

Jan, I just recently heard that Steve had passed. I have great memories of my partner in the patrol car. Almost everytime Steve road along, we would land up doing something exciting. I miss those times. He always made it interesting and comical most of the time.

To our buddy Steve.
i could really feel your presence around all of us on the day of your military service and your celebration of life at you and jans favorite camp grounds. And i know you approve stevie because there was so much love in both places for you and your family. david broke my heart, tears coming down as he tried to tell everyone how much you are loved. jason and dinny went over the good old days with your david and deborah, i loved watching them laugh and talk about fun times with you and jan. i will always treasure our memories with you Stevie. you would have been proud of David coming into the military service on your Harley. it was very heartbreaking when they handed your Jan the American Flag, but oh she was so proud.
Stevie, you were one of a kind, no one else could compare to you, you were the life of any party, so full of stories and jokes and playing jokes on people but underneath it all, you were a teddibear, a silver teddibear, and believe me, i know. i know that you will be Jans guardian angel and will watch over her in heaven like you did on earth. may you rest in peace buddy and we will miss you so much and we love you dearly. you will always be in our hearts.
your buddies,
lefty and sandy noonan

Steve,
As I sit here looking at your picture.
Wondering why you couldn't be a part of my future.
Uncontrollable tears stream down my face,
while my heart beat starts to race.
Asking God why he took you from my life,
it was more painful than stabbing me in the heart with a knife.
I still needed you here
you were the one to make everything so clear.
you are a part of me and I am a part of you
when you died a part of me died too.
I never knew how hard it was to lose someone you love
until the day you went to heaven above.
Even though I can't see,
I know your up there watching over me.
I miss you more and more everyday
and all I can do is pray.
In my heart you shall forever remain.

Your sudden exit has left a void in our lives that will not easily be filled. Your wit & humor will be sorely missed. If there is an afterlife we will meet again to ride with the wind at our backs & camp in places with level sites and no dust. HAPPY TRAILS STEVE.

I will miss Steve very much and although I realize that he has gone to be with the Lord and now has no sorrow or pain it saddens me that I won't be able to have any more"talks" with him. Those conversations always encouraged and strengthened me, and I will cherish those moments forever. I pray for you all as you go through this sad time. Love you Carol
