This is one of Vel's paintings! It is of the old barn where she grew up and the geese that my great grandfather had roaming on his farm.

Velzoe was my great aunt! I have very fond memories of her coming to visit our family in Omaha Nebraska when I was young. I wish I would have been in closer contact with her in her later years. She's was a treasure to me and my entire family! I have a few of the paintings she made hanging on my walls. Not sure if many people know but she was a very good painter as well as a fantastic musician! I played guitar when I was younger and she was a huge influence on my musical endeavors. I remember our family gathering around the piano at my great grandparents home and listening to her and other members of our family playing! I miss those times and I miss her and wish I could see her again!
