Paul Shriver Obituary

Paul Steele Shriver, 73, of Emmett, Idaho, died of natural causes, on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011. Paul was born in Canton, Ohio, on April 26, 1938, to Paul and Catherine Shriver.
Paul married Louise Larsen and from this union three children were born, Dawn, Heidi and Mark. The family later moved to south Florida, divorcing in 1978.
Paul married Susan Gezon in 1979. Their son, David, was adopted in 1988. In 1989 they moved to Idaho, later settling in Emmett. Paul has been active in Gideon's International, a ministry he greatly enjoyed. Paul was a member of Grace Baptist Church and faithfully served there for many years. Paul was an avid BSU football fan and was in attendance at the Wyoming/BSU game. He also enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends.
Paul is survived by his wife of 32 years, Susan; daughters, Dawn Gardner (Tom) and Heidi Jourdan, both of Dayton, Tenn.; sons, Mark Shriver (Karin) of Boise, Idaho and David Shriver of Emmett. Paul is also survived by six grandchildren, Cody Jourdan, Amber Rose, Benjamin and Luke Gardner, Ashleigh Croushore and Pearce Shriver.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at 5 p.m. at Potter Funeral Chapel, 228 E. Main St., Emmett. A viewing was held at this location, Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. Family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Gideon's International, P.O. Box 173, Nampa, ID 83653 or Christian Education Release Time (CERT), 619 E. 12th St., Emmett, ID 83617.
