Cory was born on July 5, 1986 in Cass City, loving and caring son of Thomas Block and Andrea (Habitzruther) Jackson.
Cory was a 2004 graduate of the Bad Axe High School and attended college at Northwood University in Midland. He was currently employed at Pizza Hut in Bad Axe. He liked sports, music and movies. Cory loved to make people happy, especially his family and friends.
Cory is survived by his father, Thomas Block and his wife, Rebecca, of Minden City; his mother, Andrea Jackson and her husband, Scott, of Bad Axe; three sisters, Ashley Block, Seana Block, Jordyn Studer, all of Bad Axe; one brother, Conner Studer of Bad Axe; one step-brother, Travis Irwin of Kinde; grandparents, Arthur and Patricia Habitzruther of Swartz Creek, Eugene and Colleen Block of Minden City, Dorothy and Meyer Zieldorff of Marysville; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cory was preceded in death by his step-father, William C. Studer Jr.
The funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. The Rev. Robert J. Pare, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly.
