Only met Pat a few times, just a polite kid that deserved more. He was friends with my daughter, who also has the same issues. I am just so sorry. My heart is heavy for your family.

Your family has been in my prayers, so very sad for your loss. Addiction is such a difficult illness that knows no boundaries. So tragic to lose someone so young, so full of promise and clearly loved by so many. Praying you find some peace knowing he is free from the chains that bound him.

Dear Michelle,
I am so sorry for the loss of your precious son Patrick. I lost my son Michael (25) in September and I am reaching out to you in the event you need someone to talk to. The grief will come to you in waves, knocking you down with such force. It has really helped me having other mothers to talk to who have experienced the same loss.
Please feel free to email me.
Sincerely,
Theresa Reddish

Thank you for your honesty and grace in the face of personal tragedy. Our family also lost one of Patrick's generation this past summer to addiction, my nephew Seth Libby.
Although we don't really know one another, I watched your beautiful family grow for years at St. Joes's and was in awe. But addiction doesn't discriminate. So very sorry for your loss, wishing you peace.
