HAROLD WOLF Harold "Gayle" Wolf, 86, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away peacefully after a life filled with devotion to family, community, and service. Born February 3, 1939, in Brunswick, Missouri, Gayle was a beloved husband, father, and friend known for his kindness, creativity, and unwavering support of those around him. Gayle is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ellen Wolf; their children, Michael Stephen Wolf, Christina Louise Wolf, and Geoffrey Jonathan Wolf; and a community of friends and neighbors who cherished him. Over the years, Gayle held many rolesfrom art supervisor to business owner of Wolf Oil Co., and later a realtor with Century 21. In retirement, he became affectionately known as "Boomer" at Boomer's Fireworks in Moberly, where his cheerful presence made him a local favorite. An active volunteer, Gayle contributed to projects like Moberly High School's "Love 30" tennis courts and supported various charitable organizations including the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was known for his generosity, humor, and the ever-present video camera with which he captured life's special moments. Gayle found joy in caring for his home, hosting friends at the family's lake house, and most of all, spending time with his loved ones. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched through his art, actions, and warm-hearted nature. He will be deeply missed. Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at a visitation to be held Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 5-7 pm at the Cater Funeral Home. A Funeral Service honoring and celebrating Gayle's life will be Friday, April 25, 2025, at 1 pm, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
