LOUISE HENDREN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louise on May 22, 2025, at the age of ninety-three. Born on April 18, 1932, in Bryant Illinois, Louise was the beloved child of Jesse and Lena (Kohlenberger) Bishop. Louise was the 11th of seventeen children and lovingly called by her nickname, Jackie by many of the Bishop family. For several years, Louise worked as a cashier at auctions, for Edgar and Margie Pitney as well as Tom Kendrick and other auctioneers. Louise met the love of her life Virgil Hendren on April 4, 1948, and they were married on May 3. 1948, in Palmyra MO. They had 66 years together before Virgil passed in August 2014. The couple loved to travel and visited every state except one, west of the Mississippi and all but eight east of it. Also going to Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Louise was a devoted daughter, wife, parent, grandparent, great-grandparent, and great great-grandparent, sister, and friend. She always put family first and ensured that her loved ones felt valued and cared for. Louise was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Moberly where she was baptized. Louise's legacy is one of kindness and unconditional love. She impacted many lives, leaving cherished memories. Her impact on family, friends and her community is immeasurable, and she will be greatly missed. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers, and seven sisters. Daughter Marlena Eikel, Granddaughter Angela Sieckmann, and Son-in-law Billy Robuck. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Moberly. Expressions of sympathy and support were extended to the family during a visitation at the Cater Funeral Home. Funeral services honoring and celebrating Louise's life followed in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayer and entombment were held in the Good Shepard Mausoleum in the Oakland Cemetery. Though Louise is no longer with us, her spirit will live on through the stories, memories, and love that she shared with all who knew her. Rest in peace, Alice Louise.
