Sally Marie Riggins

SALLY MARIE RIGGINS Sally Marie Riggins, age 78, of Brunswick, MO, passed away surrounded by loved ones on April 28, 2025, at Boone Hospital in Columbia. Sally was born on February 22, 1947, in Jonesburg, MO, to Wallace and Lida (Collins) Slatten. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and putting puzzles together. Sally loved the Cardinals and the Chiefs and never missed a game, Series, or Super Bowl. She also loved spending time with family and friends. Her first job was at Jonesburg Beacon Shoe Company and then she worked for Capital Electric Company as a secretary. Next, she worked and owned Bud's Place (bar) with Russell Riggins. In 2006, Sally and Russell relocated to Brunswick, MO, and opened Dirty Sally's Saloon. Sally is preceded in death by her father and mother; sister, Viola; brothers, Robert, Claude, William, and one infant brother. She is survived by the beloved of her life, Russell (Dempy), of Brunswick, MO; daughter, Sheila (Fry) Salmon, of Moberly, MO; sister, Donna Givens, of Warrenton, MO; two granddaughters, Sally Jo Colley (Chris Berry), Moberly, MO, Sara Ellen Colley (Brandon Cruse), of Moberly, MO; four great-grandchildren, Brayden Berry, Mckenzie Berry, Isaiah Cruse and Leland Berry, all of Moberly, MO. A funeral service celebrating Sally's life has been scheduled for Friday, May 16, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 3:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. at Pathway Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, MO.
