Rosalina Perez Obituary

Rosalina (Rose) Perez Antonio
July 25, 1922 - August 14, 2017
Rosalina (Rose) Perez Antonio passed away peacefully on August 14, 2017. She had entered the hospital on her 95th birthday - July 25th, 2017 due to complications from multiple infections. After 3 weeks with many fluctuations in her health, Rose left this material world and went on to be with the Lord.
Rose, or as many affectionately call her "Mama Rose", was born in Manila, Philippines and was married to her husband, Marcos Antonio, for 68 years. She was a beloved teacher and a respected principal of one of the largest elementary schools in Manila, with over 40 years in education. In 1987, she moved to the United States to be a support to her son's family. She loved life and welcomed everyone around her, so much so that everyone adopted her as their own Mama Rose. She was a devout Catholic, a wonderful mother, loving grandmother and great grandmother, and a trusting friend. She is also a proud member of the Mabuhay Club. She will truly be missed.
She is survived by her husband Marcos "Papa Mark" Antonio, her daughter, Cecilia Quindara and her husband Gregory Quindara, her daughters-in-law Polly Antonio and Cely Nepomuceno and her remaining siblings, Teresita Reyes and Ricardo Perez. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and all those that adopted her as "Mama Rose." Rose was preceded in death by her two sons Alfredo Antonio and Arnaldo Nepomuceno, and 3 of her sisters and 2 of her brothers. The family would like to thank everyone that took part in her final journey from Doctors, Nurses, DMC staff, Garden City staff, Optimal Hospice Care, and spiritual supporters Father Mascardo & Father Leo Del Carmen. Thank you for being a support for Mama Rose and her family.
Visitation/Rosary will be held on Sunday, August 20th from 4 to 8 PM at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be private.
