Jack was born and raised in Pacific Grove. He was a gifted mechanic and welder and fished in California and Alaska. He passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Victoria Ann, son Domenico, mother Mitzie, brother Frank (Vicki), and sister Phyllis (Joe), numerous nieces and nephews, and a granddaughter. He was predeceased by his father, Domenico. Funeral arrangements pending. Text or call (831) 402-8030.

Our Jack, ok time has passed since you left us, but it will never get easy. That crazy smile of yours still makes us laugh. You were one of a kind. We use to play outside your parents house whenever we were visiting my aunt down the street! That's been over 50yrs ago Jack! Till the day u left us all behind we have & had nothing but great thoughts of you and always will. That crazy laugh of yours sitting and eating at our bar & restaurant just made our days!
You will forever be missed. You were truly our Angel❤

My condolences to the Grillo family. Mitzie was one of the first to help me out when I briefly lived in CA. I soon met "Monterey Jack", he kept a watchful eye on the apartment which I lived and helped me on a few occasions. Good people, much respect. R.I.P. Jack.

The salmon bbques from fishing in Alaska, the badmition in your side yard and the joy coming from next door. Oh the reunion with Domenic

Good Saturday Morning, having coffee and just thinking about yesterday's service for Jack, what a wonderful turn out it was, people from everywhere were there, not only his families, but friends representing his love of fishing, his Alaska experiences shared, cards displayed from H.A. in Holland, Germany, Austria, I think it was an Ireland Rocker I saw on one jacket, the eulogy's were tearful, yet, lighthearted enough to bring a chuckle, Carol Peralta made it from Oregon, one guy we met, she met him on the plane, and we met him at the airport, was from H.A. in Colorado, he made it to the funeral...what a day of outspoken LOVE for Jack, people from all walks of life loved him, and they all showed up, with nothing but Love and Respect. There will never be another Monterey Jack Grillo, we all lost a great guy when God decided to take him home. I know he was smiling down on everyone yesterday, and we all have an 'Angel' watching over us, just as he did while he was with us. R.I.P. Jack, until we meet again.

Cuz, you never held my worst days against me. You could make everything okay with your laugh and a big hug. You were probably laughing at me but it didn't matter your constant laughter was contagious. My family and I miss you so much. Thank you for being part of our lives especially mine.

Unexpected is not good, no one gets to say good-bye. Your wife and children will be taken care of as you come frrom a loving family, your mom, your sister Phyllis whom I love. They came to visit me when Francis left. You have already left so I can't say to give a message to my Francis, that I love him. God be with you.

My dear friend, I am at loss for words. We spent years together, you were always at my house. We were together all the time, I loved it. Being the Godmother to your son, Dominico was such an honor. Although time changed "some" of us, I have and always will love you as the brother you were to me. I love you Monterey Jack, you will always hold a special place in my heart. Jack and I met unexpectedly, He walked right into my house unannounced. He'd mistakened my house for one down the street. We spent part of an afternoon talking about friends, family and fishing. RIP
