MARK,MICHELE,MICHEAL,IT'S BEEN A LONG JOURNY SINCE I FIRST MEET YOUR FAMILY.SUMMER 1967.SUCH GREAT MEMORIES OF YOUR FAMILY PAPA AND MARIA.OUR PASSIONS WERE THE SAME GARDENING ,ORCHARDS AND SANT CRUZ AND THE SAN JOSE ROSE GARDEN. WE DID NOT KNOW THAT THEN BUT OUR GRANDPARENTS WERE FRIENDS, DOMENIC AND SALVATORE BRUNO FROM BRUNO BROTHERS MARKET IN SAN JOSE,CORNER OF WILLOW AND ALMADEN, I'M SURE THEY DID EVENTS TOGETHER AT SACRED HEART CHURCH.THEY USED TO CALL THAT AREA GOOSE TOWN.I LAST SAW YOUR MOM AT SYMONS NUSERY ON WILLOW ST NEXT TO LIMA ERICSON.SHE HAD A BIG SMILE AND HUG AND TOLD ME TO VISIT IN CARMEL.WHICH I DID A FEW TIMES AND STAYED WITH MARK.YOUR MOMS OBITUARY MADE IT ALL THE WAY TO ALASKA,MY MOM NINA MADE A COPY OF IT AND SENT IT TO ME WITH SOME LINES UNDERSCORED. LIKE THE HOMELESS GARDEN PROGET IN SANTA CRUZ. I WORKED IN THAT GARDEN TOO WITH MY MENTOR JOHN DOTTER FROM MY CLASSES AT UCSC EXTENTION PROGRAM,WHEN IT WAS JUST GETTING STARTED.THANKYOU FOR THE FOND MEMORIES OF THE ELKS CLUB, GARDENS OF WILLOW GLEN AND LANDSCAPES ON 17 MILE DR. MAY THE SPIRIT OF YOUR MOM,THE SANCTUARY OF MONTEREY BAY LIVE ON FOREVER.I MADE A SNOW LABYRINTH IN ALASKA AND DID THE ROSARY WHILE THE CATHOLIC BELLS WERE RINGING NEXT DOOR.NAMASTE,CIAO BELLA, YOURS SINCERLY IN JESUS CHRIST,BRUNO SALVATORE,CARLO BOYD AFTER 911 I WROTE THIS POEM. SOULFUL JOURNEY, ENCOMPASS YOUR HEART WITH A GOLDEN CIRCLE OF LOVE. LET YOUR SOUL FREE TO SOAR THE HEIGHTS OF A DOVE.LET THE JOY BEGIN TO FEEL THE POWER WITH ALL THE MIGHT TO CLIMB A TOWER. NO FEAR YOU WILL FIND AT THE TOP STARS AND HEAVEN NO TEARS TO MOP. LET THE PASS RELEAVE US NOW. MOTHER EARTH FATHER SKY MY SPIRIT TAKES A BOW. AHOE, goldynbear

I only knew Carolina as the CHOMP Health nurse.
A lovely and competent lady.
We did see each other occasionally at plant stores as we were both avid gardeners.
I am sorry you lost such a dynamic mother and friend.

Mike, I'm very sorry for your loss. When you used to come over and make fresh pasta with my dad, drenched in my mother's sauce, that was the best. I never met your mother, but after reading her great obituary it's clear to see her touch found you.
