Bobby Bayne

Bobby Gene Bayne, 94, husband of the late Barbara Anne Parker Bayne, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

Mr. Bayne was born in Simpsonville to the late Eugene Thomas Bayne and Jessie Mae Leopard Bayne. He retired from Cryovac after 33 years as a Die Machine Shop Superintendent. He was a proud founding member of Five Forks Baptist Church and served in a number of roles during his membership.

Bobby was also a family farmer and known as a meticulous caretaker of his property – especially his pecan trees and scuppernong vines. Bobby was very handy and mechanically inclined even building his own home with his dad and rebuilding a favorite Allis-Chalmers tractor bought during his years as their representative. He enjoyed hunting and his eagle-eye vision produced not only meat for his family, but also several trophy mounts. His favorite roles were that of a husband, Daddy, Granddaddy and Great-Granddaddy - his life was devoted to his family. If you entered his home for the first time, he was quick to show you the photo wall his wife started years ago that displayed his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are four daughters, Gena Allen, Robin Faulk with husband Rusty, Julie Collenberg with husband Bobby, and Hope Adams with husband Doug; grandchildren, Jason and Katie Faulk, Monica and Michael Allen, Hunter and Michael Baliker, Kelsey Allen, Jessi and Jared Mills, Shelby and Nick Bautista, Wil Cannon, Whitney Collenberg and Carrie Collenberg; great-grandchildren, Audra, Ellie, Palmer, River, Walker, Wesley, Cora, Carter, Thomas, Scottie, Rhodes, and Grady; step-grandchildren Brandon with wife Katie, Jordan and Steven Adams; step-great-grandchildren Ellie and Blair. He was predeceased by two brothers, Frank Bayne and Tap Bayne; and a sister, Minnie Mae Brown.

The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff of Comfort Keepers and therapists from Powerback Rehabilitation for their on-going and caring support of Bobby and his family over the last few years.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, February 14th, at Five Forks Baptist Church Cemetery. In case of inclement weather, the family will be available in the church's Administration Building immediately after the service. Bobby's remains will be interred beside his wife in a wooden urn built lovingly by family and friends from a tree on the Bayne property that fell during Hurricane Helene.
