LOUVENIA JACKSON Obituary

JACKSON, Louvenia Beatrice Miles, age 97, a former resident of Burkville and Montgomery, AL, transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, October 27, 2012 in Grantville, GA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 12:00 noon from Rosa L. Parks Church of God with Pastor Dr. James I. Marshall officiating. Interment will be held at Beulah Land Cemetery, Hope Hull, AL with E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Sim Jackson, Sr. Sharing the memories of a life well lived are her devoted family: five sons, John L. (Dorothy) Jackson, Montgomery, Alabama, Bernard (Oria) Jackson, Lathrup Village, Michigan, Earl (Jacquelyne) Jackson, Detroit, Michigan, Frank (Mary) Jackson, Memphis, Tennessee, Sim (Retrena) Jackson,Jr., Sanford, Florida; four daughters, Barbara (James) DeShazor, Grantville, Georgia, Bertha JoAnn Cunningham, Inkster, Michigan, Marilynn (William) Felder, Sr., Fairburn, Georgia, Carolynn (Marshall) Sibley, Newnan, Georgia; 23 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; one sister, Bertha M. Smith, Southfield, Michigan; one brother-in-law, Willie J. Smith, Southfield, Michigan; a loving and devoted sister in Christ, Mrs. Ruth Moody, Hogansville, Georgia. God also allowed her light to shine on many nieces, nephews and friends. Family hour will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. from E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Bragg Street. Mrs. Jackson's body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral services in the church.
