OBITUARY DOMENICO LO BASSO Passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Born November 1, 1917 in Molfetta, Italy. After seeing combat as a soldier for Italy, held prisoner and surviving the war, he came to Canada with his wife and young family in 1958. The youngest of five children, he leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Giulia, his four children, Isabella (Franco), Luigi (Andree), Giovanni (Franca) and Anna Maria (Pompeo), and 10 grandchildren; Lisa (Frank), Domenic, Julia, Christina, Vanessa, Natasha, Samantha, Tanya, Jessica and Adam. Visitation on Sunday, November 29 and Monday, November 30 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. at Magnus Poirier, 10300 Boul. Pie-IX, Montreal-Nord. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 1 at 11 a.m. at Notre-Dame-de-la-Defense Church, 6800 Ave. Henri Julien, Montreal. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada or to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
