Dwight TOBIN Obituary
1949 – 2016
Dwight Tobin passed away peacefully on December 31, 2016, with his loving family by his side. Son of the late Muriel Miller and Gilbert Tobin. Devoted father and stepfather of Tyler, Connor, William (their Mother Elaine McQuillan), Dana and Lindsay. Loving brother to Gail, Lynn (predeceased) and Clyde. Cherished Uncle to Randy and Great-Uncle to Brandace and Kenneth. Beloved husband of Brenda Sanford. Dwight touched many people's lives and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Dwight's life will be held on June 9, 2017 at the Belvedere Funeral Complex, 22025 route Trans-Canada Senneville, Qc H9X 3L7, 514 457-4440. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Ceremony starting at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dwight's memory may be made to the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence Foundation and/or NOVA Hudson.

Susan Reycraft Kaake gave me the sad news last week of Dwight"s passing. I first met Lynn when I was 8 and she was 7. I met Dwight several years later and Gayle. Gary and I send our condolences to Brenda, Elaine, their children and Gayle and Clyde. RIP Dwight and Lynn.

It was a shock when I heard of his passing . I bumped into Dwight at Smoke Meat Pete's a few years ago when he made it out to see a band i was in . It was quite a surprise that he went out of his way seeing as we hadn't seen each other in decades . Dwight was always a respectful person . R.I.P.

Deepest sympathies to Dwight's family, friends and all the others who loved him (likely everyone he ever met). We were good friends for a year or two in the early sixties and then lost contact when we set out on our own paths but I would always smile fondly when his name came up when I would run into other Townies over the years and I also would wonder sometimes how life was treating him. So, one of the (many) treats about the 2012 party was seeing my old buddy again. We didn't reminisce a lot, just shared a hug and a few laughs, and we didn't rekindle our friendship beyond the occasional Facebook exchange but that was okay. I got to see that Dwight was still Dwight and that made things just a little better. So, so sorry he has gone. R.I.P.
