Mrs. Meyers was my favorite teacher of all time! I cried after my first day of 3rd grade thinking she might be mean but I soon grew to adore her as a teacher. She used to march up and down the aisles acting like she was playing drums teaching us history lessons. She handmade little clothing pin figures with detailed outfits on them and I strived to get good grades just to have first picks of those pin cloth dolls. And of course to enter and exit her classroom you had to answer quick math questions. I even invited her to NHS banquet as my favorite teacher pick when we got to invite one teacher. I wasnt alone. Others had invited her too. She was a true gem! Sending my sympathies to her family.

So sorry to learn of Mrs. Meyer's passing. She was our beloved neighbor and friend. She also taught our daughter in third grade in her last year before she retired. She delighted in asking each student a math fact at the door of the classroom before they entered in the morning. She also made clothes pin people to use in dioramas to illustrate historical scenes. She loved and treasured her antiques and loved to share stories about them. She so lovingly spoke of her daughter who tragically died as a very young child. So glad I knew this lady.

So sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. Ruth was such a devoted friend to my mother Elinor. I will always remember her Christmas tea's that she loved having so much. Ruth always spoke so highly of all her family but she was always so proud of her grandson's who she loved dearly. I hope when you have the memorial you will let me know. I talked to Nancy McBride yesterday and she has moved to Indiana to be closer to her son. Thinking of all of you and wishing you peace. Fondly, Karen Groza
