Larry McAdams Obituary

Larry McAdams Larry McAdams 60, of Midland passed away Monday, September 28, 2009 at his home. Larry was born April 9, 1949 in Madison, TN to H. T. and Betty McAdams. He graduated from Joelton High School in Joelton, TN and shortly thereafter joined the United States Navy. After service to his country, Larry moved to Midland where he went to work for Southwestern Bell and retired after 32 years of service. Shortly after his arrival in Midland, Larry met Beth Sutton and on May 14, 1969 they were married in Midland, Texas. Larry was a devoted husband and father- having loved his family above all else. He enjoyed wood working, fishing and hunting, and enjoyed going to the Rock Hounds baseball games with his son and grandson. Larry is survived by his wife Beth; mother Betty Stewart of Grapeland, TX ; daughter, Cindy Phariss and husband Eddie of Midland, TX; daughter, Judy Sutton of Midland, TX; son, Patrick and daughter-in-law Robin of Peoria, AZ; his three loving grandchildren; Kyrstin, Nicholas, and Noi of Peoria, AZ; two brothers, John and Neil of Grapeland, TX; sister Connie Kelsey of Ft. Worth, TX; and two aunts, Thelma Karr and husband Harry of Shepherdsville, KY and Reba Gordy of Louisville, KY. He was a loving, generous and compassionate man and will be missed greatly. Thanks to Dr. Karen Carr and her staff, Dr. John Worrell and to all of the nurses and staff on the fourth floor oncology at Midland Memorial Hospital. No services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered at www.ellisfunerals.com. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Home Hospice of Midland 901 W Missouri Midland, Texas 79701 or North A and Tenn. Church of Christ, Midland.
