Roberto Estrada

AGE: 93 • Perth Amboy

Roberto Estrada, 93 of Perth Amboy, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Amboy Care Center, Perth Amboy with his family by his side. Roberto was born in Vieques, Puerto Rico and came to Manhattan, Brooklyn and then came to Perth Amboy in 1962. He served his country during the Korean War era in the U.S. Army. He was employed by American Smelting & Refinery Company, Perth Amboy for 27 years as a Crane Operator. Roberto retired on 1977. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Perth Amboy.

He is preceeded in death by his devoted wife Socorro Lucy ( nee Gueverra ) whop passed away in 1986; loving son of Roberto P. and Antolina ( nee Waron ) Estrada. He is survived by his beloved children Elizabeth, Lucy Marilyn, Eva, Miriam White, Robert and his wife Carol Estrada and Raguel and her husband Carlos Cortijo; dear bother of 4 brothers and 5 sisters; adored grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 2 great ~ grandchildren; cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.

We begin to leave on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 9:15 am from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for a funeral mass at 10 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Burial will be at Alpine Cemetery. Visiting is on Sunday from 2 ~ 6 pm.
