ANTHONY D. CAPIRASO
AGE: 51 TOMS RIVER
Anthony D. Capiraso, 51, of Toms River, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at Community Medical Center Hospice, Toms River. Born in Jersey City, he was raised in Edison, then lived in South Brunswick before moving to Toms River in 1995. He was a material damage specialist with Encompass Insurance Company, Monmouth Junction for many years. He was a parishioner of St. Justin's Roman Catholic Church, Toms River. Mr. Capiraso was a member of the Elks Lodge, Edison.
He was predeceased by his mother, Edith Kraft Capiraso. Surviving are his wife, Gerarda "Geri" Sica Capiraso; his father, Paul Capiraso and his stepmother, Julia of Edison; two daughters, Antonette Vito and her husband Lou and Felicia Capiraso and her fiancée Kyle Short, all of Toms River; a stepbrother, Nick Capiraso of North Brunswick; a stepsister, Julia Lima of Edison; a grandchild, Salvatore Anthony Vito; his mother-in-law, Virginia Sica of Toms River; and two nephews, Pat Jr. of Edison, and Jayson of Toms River.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2009 at The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009 at St. Justin's R.C. Church, Toms River. Burial will follow to St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River. Donations may be made to the Colon Cancer Foundation. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.ryanfuneralhome.com.
