Francis "Frank" Cummings

AGE: 85 • Edison

Francis "Frank" Cummings, 85, of Edison, passed peacefully on Sunday June 11, 2017, at the JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in NY City, he had resided in Edison since the early 1960's.

He was a US Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict.

He retired in 1999, after 15 years with the U.S. Postal Service in Edison.

Prior to that he had been employed for over 30 years as a truck driver, for the Teamsters Road Carriers Union Local # 707.

He enjoyed going to Atlantic City and was an avid NY Yankees and boxing fan.

Frank was predeceased by his beloved son, Roger Cummings, who died in 1971, and his brother Dennis Cummings in 2013.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 65 years, Lorraine, his two sons, Frank and his wife Margaret, of Edison, and Petty Officer, 1st Class, Brandon Cummings, currently serving with the US Coast Guard, his grandson, Mason, and his two sisters; June Cummings of Brooklyn, NY and Theresa Cummings of Hoboken.

Visitation will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 13, & 14, 2017 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863. Cremation will follow privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to www.gofundme.com/frankcummings to aid in funeral expenses, would be greatly appreciated.
