STELLA A. (SWEDERICK) GARZILLO
AGE: 94
SOUTH PLAINFIELD
Stella A. (Swederick) Garzillo, 94, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2009 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Sayreville, she resided in Plainfield for many years before moving to South Plainfield in 1978. Employed as a Seamstress and Presser for the Robert Dress Company of Plainfield for 30 years prior to retiring in 1979. Stella has also enjoyed spending time in Atlantic City.
Her husband, Carmen D. Garzillo, died in 2005. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Joann Rocco and her husband Robert of South Plainfield, Betty Lou Fregans and her husband, Walter of Yardville and Vickie Cooper and her husband, Paul of South Plainfield; her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick Garzillo and his wife Dolores of Barnegat; her two devoted nieces, Cynthia and her husband Paul and Christine. Also surviving are several additional nieces and nephews. In addition, surviving are her six grandchildren, Charles, Scott, Jonathan, Brandon, Meredith, and Mallory; and eight great grandchildren, Charlie, Marie, Kasey, Paige, Nicholas, Grant, Michael and Gianelle.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 15, at 6:00 PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield. (www.mccriskinfuneralhome.com) Cremation and interment of her cremated remains will be private. Family and friends may attend the visitation hours at the funeral home on Monday from 3 until 7 PM.
