Martha Keady Obituary

Martha Patricia "Pat" Keady, 62, of Lafayette, died at 9:28 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born Oct. 25, 1946, in Jackson, Ky. She graduated from Baptist Boarding School in Kentucky and received her BA from the University of Kentucky.
On July 14, 1981 she married Gene Keady in West Lafayette and he survives.
Mrs. Keady was a model in New York prior to her marriage. She loved to bowl and was on the Lafayette Country Club Bowling Team.
Surviving along with her spouse is a sister, Edith Boone of Covington, KY. She was preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Keady.
The Purdue men's basketball program has lost its first lady. An avid basketball fan long before she met her husband, Pat Keady enjoyed getting to know and then mentoring the young men Gene Keady coached for 25 seasons at Purdue. Pat's loyalty was to her husband and family, friends and to Purdue. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation was Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909. Private funeral services were Friday the Rev. Greg Eberhard officiating. Interment was at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to the Women's Heart Foundation at P.O. Box 7827 West Trenton, NJ 08628. You may offer condolences at www.soller-baker.com
