Robert Griffin Obituary

Robert 'Bobby' Dean Griffin Robert "Bobby" Dean Griffin, 56, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012, in Plainview. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012, in Restlawn Memorial Park in El Paso. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Robert was born Dec. 5, 1955, to Charles and Alice Griffin in El Paso. He married Frances Bolton on June 22, 1989, in El Paso. He was a commercial truck driver for Farah, Inc. for 10 years, later going to work for Walmart, Inc. He was stationed out of Seymour, Ind., New Braunfels, Texas, and later moved to Plainview, Texas. He was a member of Garland Street Church of Christ. Robert is survived by his wife, Frances Griffin of Plainview, Texas; one daughter, Tina L. Taylor of Waskom, Texas; one sister, Susie Austin of El Paso, Texas; three sisters-in-law and their husbands, Virginia and Charles Russell, Nora and Billy Johnson and Claudia Smart; one granddaughter, Andi L. Rentz of Waskom; one great-grandson, Jase Scott of Waskom; one niece, Amy Lyn Schultz; and one nephew, Michael Austin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alice Griffin; and one brother, William L. Griffin. Memorials may be made to Area Community Hospice, 3109 Olton Road Suite C, Plainview, TX 79072; or Joe Arrington Cancer Center, 4101 22nd Place, Lubbock, TX 79410.
