Lenora MARTIN

Deepest condolences to all of Leni's family. Leni led a most interesting and rich life and she left this world too soon. She was my late father's cousin and they had always shared a special relationship. Her passing makes me think and honour the memory of her parents, Bea and Ben Shaposnick, my grandparents Louis and Doris Clarke (Clatz), and my father Bernie Clarke. I have known Lenora Martin for about 20 years or so. Our paths crossed in a number of ways both in Regina and Ottawa. In her own way she demonstrated a remarkable committment to the Jewish belief in 'tikkun olam' or 'repair the world'. Always concerned with the less fortunate both human and other species. She will always be a reminder to me of that aspect of her character.
