Very nice to meet family and friends of Jim's today. Not surpised to learn he had such a wide variety of interests in his retirement.
He really was an interesting guy and a wonderful co-worker at the CBC for many years. Condolences again to all and rest in peace Jimmy

I wish I had kept in touch with Jim after he retired. I loved working with him at the CBC. He could see things no one else could see. He could solve problems no one else could solve. Many of my best stories would not have been my best stories without him. I've thought of him often over the years. I won't ever forget him.

I'm so sorry to hear about Jim's passing.

I thought of Jim as my Jazz Buddy because I first met him several years ago at the Ottawa Jazz Festival. We got chatting and found out that we had things in common, besides just the jazz. For example, we both had done work for CBC, me a few years of freelancing for CBC radio and he fulltime video work for CBC TV. We started saving spots for each other's lawn chairs at the Jazz Fest and continued doing that every year, eventually exchanging...
