Not sure what to say?

I have known Robert for quite a number of years. And always found him to be an erudite, gentle, compassionate and friendly individual to me. Will certainly miss him for his cutting remarks on the political scenery and our social conditions. Rest in Peace, Bob.

We were friends and brothers for 35 years. I miss him greatly. George King

I will miss the engaging conversations on history and economics we shared dear Brother Bob. Your knowledge of history and financial markets combined with your wisdom and wit were unparalleled. Rest in peace my dear friend!

Ken Matziorinis

Although I had only known Bob for a few years, he was a loving kind friend, whose stories of Montreal and the University Club were funny, rich and well-told. I will miss him as will so many others.

Expo 67 brought Bob to Montreal from New York...and he stayed. Canada wowed him so much he became a Canadian!
Bob was a courtly gentleman from Cornell who also loved to debate/argue with an acerbic wit!
I thoroughly enjoyed probing his vast memory bank of stories in the Peace Corps through to his conclusions on current events!
A dearly missed friend!
Anne

We will greatly miss you Bob (a true gentleman): our business lunches, socializing, Christmas eve dinners, discussions (some heated).
You were always erudite and well informed.
We will miss your humour and kindness.
All we can add is R.I.P.

I shall miss "Oncle Robert" as he called himself frequently in his emails. He had a marvellous sense of the ridiculous and we frequently laughed during conversations. Rest in peace old friend .

Bob was an invaluable part of the UC, the Council and the House Committee. His knowledge of the House helped us to decide important issues. His stories, although often repeated, were a delight.
