Not sure what to say?

To the Kirkpatrick family,

Phyll was such a fixture in my childhood because of her friendship with my grandmother. I remember her so fondly for her warmth, grace, kindness and humour. Sending warm thoughts your way as you say goodbye and holding you in my thoughts.

To the Kirkpatrick children, I am so sorry to earn of your mother's passing. I knew Phyllis from when I attended Knox United Church but got to know her much better when I was doing my research project on British war brides in the 1980's. She was very generous with her time and willingly shared her memories of journeying to Canada and settling in Saskatoon. In later years, I remember a lovely afternoon spent in her apartment when she was pleased to show me her collection of paintings by local...

Ron and I were so sorry to hear of your mother's passing, Louise. You talked about her a great deal and, from your comments, it was clear that you admired and loved her very much. She sounds like a remarkable woman. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Tim at this time.

My own mother (Phyllis Oliver) was a friend of Phyllis and always spoke fondly of her. They were both former WAAF during WWII in England and both came to Canada and Saskatoon as war brides. My sincere condolences. We have lost lovely Mums!

So sad to learn of the passing of Mrs.Kirkpatrick. I was a frequent visitor to the Kirkpatrick home in my youth as I was friends with Heather attending City Park (earlier WILSON Elem.) Still have great memories of how welcoming she & Mr.Kirkpatrick were. My sincere sympathies to the family.
