Not sure what to say?

I taught mathematics side by side with Fran from 1967, until she retired. She had a super work ethic and required that from her students. Fran could be used as an example of "dedicated." I'm sure her time on this earth earned her a peaceful after-life. Former Colleague, Carl Frattini

My sympathies to the family

My thoughts, prayers, and sympathy go out to the family of "Mrs. S". I had her for both Algebra and Geometry. She truly was patient, caring..and an excellent teacher. She also invited me to babysit a couple of times! Thank you and God Bless You, Mrs. Schlichting.

I will always remember Mrs. Schlichting as the best algebra teacher I ever had. She was a great person and teacher and my sympathy goes out to her family and friends.

My sympathy to the family...she was an excellent teacher!

I had Mrs Schlichting as an Algebra teacher in the early '70's at SBHS. She was a patient, caring (but strict) teacher - one of the best. She will be missed.

Mrs. Schlichting would arrange to meet my friend Diane and me in the old SBHS library, early in the morning, before classes began, generously, and so patiently, giving us extra help in Algebra. Because of this, we passed with flying colors. Even then, her work ethic and dedication to being the best teacher she could be, was so apparent. Thank you, Mrs. Schlichting.

Fran,
You are a "one of a kind." You were super dedicated to your many students at South Burlington High School who went on to wonderful lives because of your help along the way. And now, you will be the "pilot" in your new life, as you were in your old life.
Your former colleague,
Carl Frattini, Tampa, FL

My condolences to Fran's family of wonderful daughters. Fran and I go back to 1956 in Robinson Hall at UVM. There are many happy memories and laughs from those days.
