Dr. Aaron Oken

My first msg may have been lost in transmission. Will try again. We will miss an old friend and co-worker. Aaron and I were both at DuPont when we became acquainted. In addition, we were neighbors: He and Sylvia lived on Sills Mill Road, while we live on Hillendale Road -- about two miles east -- nominally in Chadds Ford.

Mary and I had a most pleasant visit one Saturday evening at the Okens, with a group from as far away as Kennett Square; most of our fellow guests have passed...

It was a privilege to have known and worked with Aaron at DuPont. We also were near-neighbors -- we live on Hillendale Road in Chadds Ford, when Aaron and Sylvia lived on Sills Mill Road -- about two miles.

Both Mary and I remember attending a party one Sat. evening, a couple of years before Aaron left DuPont -- not a cheery event!

As a chemical engineer, I was awed by Aaron's chemistry abilities.
