Not sure what to say?

Alex was a man with wisdom, wit, honesty and love for Elizabeth, his family and friends. I am proud to have known him and to have called him my friend and brother-in-law. Rest easy Alex till we meet again

Alex, thank you for your love, your acceptance and support, your wisdom, for impacting my life in a positive way. Rest in peace. Sincere condolences to the family with special love and hugs to Elizabeth.

Papa, you were the Heart and soul of this family. When anyone needed a helping hand, you were there. When ever I had a problem or just needed to talk, you would always find a way to make me feel better. I will miss your never ending stories and jokes that would put a smile on my face every time. You supported me in everything I did. I miss you so much! I love you! Xoxo

I only got the honor to meet Mr. Murphy once just recently and I could tell he was a great guy. He talked about the many stories of when he was in the military and he laughed about the situations that happened. I could tell he had a full life and loved his family very much. I didn't get to talk to him for very long but I was glad to have met him briefly. I know he will be missed. May he rest in peace.

Hey Dad, you always stood behind anything I chose to do without question.... but you were never shy on opinions :) and to be sure your steadfast support and your age tested opinions always pointed me true. It is with your guidance I support my family and way of life. The lessons I have learned from you will always be the foundation of everything I do.

I will miss seeing "Murph" at the BBQs. He always had a smile, hug & a happy hello each time we met up. He was so proud to be with his family & his Black Watch family & I loved being able to see him. Though we did not serve together, we were Black Watch Family. He will be missed for sure. Condolences to Elizabeth & his sons & daughters. I send you my love & strength.

Alex was truly the patriarch of the family. He accepted me as a daughter and always made anyone and everyone feel welcomed. His quick wit, humor, laugh, smile, endless knowledge, and cooking will be greatly missed.Forever in my heart. Rest in peace.

Pleasure to have served with Alex & was always a good time at the Black Watch reunions or Barbecues in Ottawa & Orleans. May you Rest In Peace Scotty. Yvonne & I send our Condolences to the Murphy Family in this time of sorrow. NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT. Bob & Yvonne Woodward
