To Dan's Family:
As an attorney for 21 years, you just took it for granted that if you were in county court, you would see Dan. I shared many laughs with him over the years, and he will be truly missed by many. In addition to being someone who you enjoyed passing time with, he performed his job with the utmost professionalism, considerate to everyone in the courtroom. We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Herberger Family,

I first met Dan when he was a night sergeant for Service Systems Security in 1973, and I was just starting my private security career, working occasionally on Dan's shift,
at what was then, the Marine Midland Center.

Once I left employment there, we had not communicated, but I knew he was highly respected throughout his lengthy career, in the Erie County Sheriff's Department.

I'll close with hopes that your memories of Dan will...

Mary & family,

I am truly sorry for your loss. I wish that I could comfort your heart and spirit. Dan was a dear friend and a great Officer to work with. He will be missed I am sure, by the Officers that knew him and other court staff members. I pray that his Spirit will be at rest with Our Lord, Thy God in heaven!

May God Bless you & your family and bring you peace!
