Jan,
I don't know if you remember me but David is my cousin. My mother is Della Kidder Moellendick. I pray that God will help you with your pain and loneliness. My mother does not have online access but she wants me to extend the sympathy of our family to you and the children and grandchildren. David was a special guy and was truly one of the few people who always made you feel better after being with him.
Peace, Tim Moellendick

It has been two weeks today. Time hasn't stopped except in my heart. I will miss walking in cemeteries and in parks with you. I will miss silently sitting in libraries and historical societies, looking through books with you. I will miss the laughter and the quiet times. I will miss arguing about the latest problem with the house. I will miss all the things you knew that I didn't, and I will miss your guidance when I'm lost. I will miss my best friend. I love you always.

Dave was our delivery person at M. R. Plank Roofing. He always came in with a smile and would tell me about the motorcycles lining Route 59 in Kent during the rally. He also delivered to my daughter at her office and would tell me what a great kid she was, and funny! He will be so missed by all of us. I hope everyone touched by him remembers his smile and attitude, and they live their lives like he did. Bringing joy to everyone. This world needs more people in it like him. He was an...

Dave was a member of the Kent Civil War Society, to which I have belonged for a very long time now. I will never forget how he always said hello to me when I would come to meetings and would always greet me with a warm smile that made even my worst days seem wonderful. He always had a fascinating story to tell me about cemeteries and genealogy because he knew I was interested in those things. I never tired of hearing those stories and will treasure them always. Jan, know that the entire KCWS...
