The Hale School Board of Governors, The Old Haleians' Association, Headmaster, staff and the wider Hale community extend deepest sympathy to Gay and the Cruickshank family on their sad loss. John attended Hale School from 1946 to 1950. He was Chairman of the Board of Governors from 1989 - 1993 and 1996 - 1997, and a member of the Board of Governors from 1982 - 1988 and 1994 - 1995.
