My deep condolences to Marina's family and friends. I only spoke to Marina a few times at starting lines and when she counted my laps at UNH as an official, but her smile and warm personality really made her stand out. I was extremely saddened when I saw the news, but am so grateful that I got the chance to meet her, and she will always be an inspiration to me, in terms of speed and spirit.
