My condolences to the family. I met Marlene at the many Breast Cancer conferences in Washington DC. I will always remember and repeat many times her love for "retail therapy", the first time I heard the phrase was from her and repeat it many times. What a fun woman.

Marlene was a relentless advocate for women's health. She was an advocate on both the local and national scene and was very well respected by lay-people and by the medical and research profession. I am among the hundreds that she helped get through the challenge of cancer through her compassion, advice, and the use of the resource center that she started and led in Coventry, RI. I will greatly miss her. May God Bless Marlene and her family. Ann Dickson
