Not sure what to say?

Oh, dear Friends, you are so much in my thoughts and prayers. I did not know about Mike - you have had MORE than enough to deal with! I so remember all our wonderful sharing times over the years and still love the pictures of Anita as our Flower Girls. Paul was such a good cook and Fran, you were the perfect hostess. I am sorry we have lost touch. Call me sometime at 941-312-9169 in Sarasota, FL. Where do you all live now? Sending love and prayers and holding onto precious memories. ...

Paul's Daughter, Elayne, was in one of my first classes of teaching at Lyons Township High School in La Grange, IL. She and I had a very strong connection, and as a result, my fiancé and I got to know her parents, Paul and Fran. Since we were not married then, they invited us many times to their home for Martinis and dinner, and we became wonderful friends. Anita was even the flower girl in our wedding, and the whole family traveled to Harlan, Iowa, my hometown to be there. I will never...

Oh, dear Fran and Anita, I am so sorry we have lost touch for so long. I have such precious memories of all the special, fun dinners Charlie and I had at your house. You were some of our dearest friends, came to our wedding, and Anita, you were our precious flower girl! Charlie died of cancer in 2000, so Paul outlived him by the years. I moved to Sarasota, FL, in 2004 and am still working (speaking and writing) but I miss him terribly. I was so deeply sorry to read about Mike, too, and I...

Dear Anita and Fran,

I decided to search today for anyone from your family and sadly, I saw this message about Paul. I am so VERY sorry that I did not connect with you earlier. Charlie died in 2000, and I moved to Sarasota, FL, soon after. I am not sure you will get this, but if you do, please either call or email me. We share so MANY precious memories. I still stay in touch with Nancy Wrablik Provenzano, and we often talk about Elayne. Love, Barbara Glanz

Fran and Anita, my thoughts are with you both. Paul was dear to all of my family, and I have many sweet memories of him. He will be missed, but his light will continue to shine.

If I could have picked the perfect father in law, it would have been Paul Pilant. Funny, caring, thoughtful and kind were just a few of his many qualities. He was my "other father" figure that mentored me thru most of my professional career. Quick with a joke, or a one liner that would make you smile, he was just always fun to be with. I will miss my annual trips to the "Aptos Hilton" where breakfast was always prepared like a feast for a King. Both he and Fran have called me their "other...

Paul was a real treasure in my life; a special friend and mentor who knew how to love and to laugh. I'm a better man for having known him. To Fran, Anita, and to all who knew and loved him, may you soon enjoy comfort and peace.

GOD BE WITH THE FAMILY . HE WELL COMFORT YOU .

We will always remember Paul as our warm, friendly neighbor. God bless and rest in peace.
