PACKER--Rekha. Rekha Packer, age 65, combined intellect and a dry wit with deep reserves of strength. As a young lawyer, she surprised her bosses by excelling not only in the cerebral domain of tax law but also in the rough-and-tumble world of labor negotiations, making partner at a Boston firm...

Not sure what to say?

As a nanny to her children, Rekha introduced me to the works of Jane Austin, a passion I have now had my whole life. Thank you Rekha!!

My belated condolences to Rekha´s family, especially her children, Emily and Jonathan, of whom she spoke w deepest love and pride. I just learned of her death; I was about to send a message of commiseration about the 20th anniversary of the life altering 9 -11 attacks. I am grieved by her loss. She was such a person. I take some comfort in hoping that she and Michael can once again walk about with their hands in each others´ back pants pockets-it is how remember them from law school.

Rekha continues to be with all of us at the Hoff Barthelson School of Music in Scarsdale. Her smile and her joy were contagious, and we all miss her so very much. Rest in peace and.... in Music, dear Rekha. With Love

Rekha was a ray of light that lit the room when she entered. We shared a love of music and youth and I became friends with her while watching my children’s recitals at Hoff Barthelson. Deepest condolences to her family in this very sad time. May you always be inspired by her smile and warmth and the legacy she built.

My heart is filled with sadness, and my condolences to Rahul, Sarita and Jonathan. It has been since June of 1972, that I LAST SAW Rekha. She had a beautiful soul, and Rehka’s willingness to guide me through physics, was above and beyond. I always remembered during our 15 minute break, Rekha sitting on the window sill overlooking the back entrance to our school building. It was her zen time, and I always respected her ability to take time for herself, in the midst of students’ pacing and...

Dear Rahul, Emily and Jonathan,

I was your sister/mom's senior tutor at Harvard, and she was a brilliant student, who spoke and wrote compellingly about the Romantic Poets, a mutual enthusiasm. I'm glad we had a chance to catch up in Hartsdale when I moved to Westchester. I was so sorry to learn that her husband had died so tragically and of her own struggles--yet she didn't let disability to stop her, and has left a wonderful legacy in the Yonkers Early College Awareness Program....
