Not sure what to say?

Ruth Billington, what can I say she was one of the nicest people I've ever met one of the most inspirational teachers and it is to to her that I have been able to have such a successful life and have used the lesson she passed on to me Mary my children to be successful. I am so blessed to have known her what a class act till we meet again dear lady.

A Sonnet On Ruth Billington
February 14, 2020

We all knew a woman whose name was Ruth,
She was mother advocate and friend.
She stood for what she understood was truth;
Ruth was noble and kind until the end.
I knew her as many did back then,
Her kids were schoolmates Peter was a chum.
Then at The Well she smiled when you came in,
We marched to justice's urgent beating drum.
Seven year's gone by since Ruth crossed over there,
With...

In Memory of Ruth Billington

Looking now across the years - remember
Moments of memory linked in a chain;
The Well had servants - she was a member.
I see her loving smile now once again.
Ruth was mother to my friend's great family,
But kindnesses never stopped at her home's door;
Her love was big enough to include me,
And that was felt by many, many more!
Heart was shown through all of her life's actions-
Quickening salves that bonded...

A Mother to you guys and a Mom to all the rest of us. I have thought of all th wonderful times back in the late 50's at your home. I have tried without success connecting with Joe. I have so many stories.

A second mother to me. Memories flood my thoughts... meals at a big circular table, scramble eggs and a loaf of bread....., where I felt so much a part of a great family. Sleepovers, the greatest! I hope Joe finds this I would love to reconnect with him. God Bless Ruth Billington... thank you for all the love you gave me.

I was looking up family history and came across this beautiful woman who recently passed away. As I read the obituary, I discovered that she was my great grandmother's niece. Blessings to all her family members that I have never met. I'm honored to be her family, too.

I was sorry to hear of Ruth Billington's passing. She was a caring woman and mother. I too have wonderful memories of the Billington family, East Cleveland and the neighborhood. We also lived in the corner house. May Ruth rest in peace. God Bless you all!

I remember Mrs. Billington as a champion of the underprivileged. She was a pleasure to know. I loved talking with her and she always made me feel welcome in her home. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Love to all of you. - Elaine Psihountas

Thank you all for your memories of my Mom. Jeff Moyer, how sweet of you to remember us as the "Kennedy's of East Cleveland" as JFK was one of our heroes. I remember your name from those days, and remember Mom's passion for "the Well". And the Hastings I also remember as the big family with the younger kids who I enjoyed so much. Thank you also for mentioning my brother Pete and his daughter Kerry. Pete looked after Mom for many years and brought her much joy and comfort. My Mom Ruth, was...
