Not sure what to say?

Four years. You are missed dear woman. Everything about you-smile, laugh, brilliance, commitment to our students, to your beloved family, to the DU 7. What I wrote 4 years ago is still true today. Love & miss you. KMM

When I saw this post it made me think back just two days ago walking in Stewart Park (in Columbia, Missouri where Bob and Sheila were our neighbors) on a beautiful Fall day, passing where they lived just two doors away from my wife Kay and I a memory came back in my head of those days we were all so young. I honestly didn't remember it was the anniversary of her passing. I even remembered the name of Sheila's male cat; Harry Fender ! Those memories make us smile.

Bob and Family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Sheila's passing. I have fond memories of Danny and Ben hanging out and being able to talk with
Sheila. I hope you find some peace.

I remember when I first met Sheila. At the DC meat market. Her smile was the first thing I noticed. It lit up the room. Second was her laugh. It resonated. It was infectious but also calming.

Sheila was my friend, colleague and inspiration. She was the heart & soul of an institution which needed both. She was a role model for students and her colleagues. She was gracious, kind and had a back bone of steel. She had integrity, oh so much, at a time when integrity is a lost...

Sheila will be missed by all the members of the Colorado Hebrew Chorale (past and present), her Monday night "family" for the past dozen years (rehearsal night). She was a valued part of the alto section, always prepared and at the ready, and supported her fellow alti with humor and grace. Sheila's devotion to us and to Jewish music extended beyond the gifts of her time and talent; she was equally generous with her wallet throughout the years. We will continue to think of Sheila holding her...

She was one of my favourite professors in law school. I will miss her a lot.

My wife Kay and I were their neighbors in Columbia, Missouri in the late 70's. We bonded with Bob and Sheila with our dogs and cats (they also had a pet Boa Constrictor that ended up at the St Louis Zoo). Their dog Lady (never without a ball in her Retriever mouth) and their cats Shirley and Myrna were their beloved pets. Very special people we will never forget. Little did any of us know that we had a mutual friend in Don Ginsberg. He told us about Sheila's passing this evening. Our...

Bob - My condolences to you and your family. The opportunity to meet you as we briefly shared board duties at COCD/D introduced me your outlook on the community we we served which was filled with warmth and positivity. Reading this rememberance now, it is so very clear that Sheila shared this same outlook and had huge impact on our community and all she had contact with during her career.

Remembering you from a long time ago! Beverly Abrams
