Not sure what to say?

Dear Sandy, Mamie and James David,
I want to let you know that I am so sad for your grief and the loss you feel in your heart. God blessed you with Bill for so many years and though you have lost his body, he will always be a part of who you are. And, in time, you will be together again. Your sadness is great but his happiness is greater as he basks in the love of Jesus. The Bible says that we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses. Bill, Dave, Booze, PaPa and Granny are...

Sandy - It seems just a few years ago that Bill and I graduated together from Bowman Gray. Although or paths took us in different directions my memories of our time together as classmates are rich, happy and rewarding. Bill was for me a kind, concerned and humble person when I knew him, and I know his friends and patients must have cherished him. I am sure you will be comforted by the rich memories that you shared.
God Bless - Ralph Siewers

We, Big Creek High School Alumni, remember Bill and are proud of his dedication to his patients and the field of medicine. Based on the numerous kind and loving notes you received from patients and other friends from your community, we can sense their love and respect for him. He will be missed by so many. You are in our prayers.

Dear Lord, may Your presence be felt by Bill's family. Help them find peace, strength and comfort through Your love during this difficult moment in their...

Dear Sandy and family,
My memories of Bill go back a long way to English and Bartley, WV. (Not to mention my memories of you and our days at Concord College.)
But my favorite memory is when Bill was at NC Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem and Buddy was admitted there, to eventually have heart surgery. You were both so kind and supportive to us during those days when we thought Buddy's life might be ending. Now, 45 years later, it is very sad to be writing to you with our love and...

I am so sorry for your lost. I have know Bill for many, many years we grew up together in English, WV. He was such a kind person. His parents were good people. I just received this on our Owl High School News. My prayers are with you and your family. Peggy Casteel Swartz

Sandy,Mamie and Jay,
We were so shocked and saddened by Bills death. I am sorry we didn't know. I will always remember our Christmas mornings when mother always had a big breakfast and Bill would join us. How time does fly and times change. But no one can take away our childhood memories. Please let us know if we can do anything for you or your family.
Love, Mary Lynn

Dear Friends:

How thankful we are to have been patients of Dr. Deskins for over 40 years. He took care of all our family, and we felt so comfortable knowing that he was our doctor. The word "compassionate" is an appropriate description for this man who was also a fine doctor. He was our dear friend, always there for us whenever we needed him.

It was a joy to share good times watching our grandsons play baseball together.

Our love and prayers will continue to be with...

Dear Sandy, DeRae, Kent, Kathy, MFMC staff and family,

I'm so sorry and very shocked to hear of Dr. Deskins passing. He always seemed like one of those ole Doc's that would live forever or die serving his patients and I am sure that is exactly what he did.
Having worked with him on many occasions(as staff LPN)to the late hours of the evening usually, Heh. I can tell you that he was just as devoted to his patients as they were to him. To this day in my 13 years of nursing I have...
